New Year's Resolutions: Cinema Style

Once more unto the breach!

Yes, it's a new year, and with new beginnings come those resolutions. This time, I intend to use some cinematic inspiration.

1.Get Organized!
Somewhere between this:
and this:
Must not go all crazy-eyed Sleeping with the Enemy

are my orderly closets and kitchen cabinets.

2. Loose Weight!
Somewhere between this:
The hilarious Rebel Wilson in "Bridesmaids"
and this:
Angie - please eat!
is a reasonably thinner and healthier me (just gotta get in there and drag her out).

3. Figure out a way to age gracefully
Ah, this is a hard one, but the clock keeps ticking. So, I would like to avoid this:

and shoot for this:
my hero
4. Get more sleep!
We all know how hard it is to get enough sleep and how very important it is. But too much is no good:

and not enough is even worse:

5. Watch more movies!
This one is easy.

I'll just do it! After all, I'll feel better, be more rested and be totally age-appropriate and organized.

Wishing you all the very best of everything in 2013. I have a feeling it's going to be spectacular!

Chick, your 2013 resolutions are both helpful and hilarious! These are resolutions I can stick too, especially anything involving Meryl Streep! :-) All of us here at Team Bartilucci HQ hope you and yours have a stellar New Year, with many fab new PERSON IN THE DARK blog posts!

Meryl Streep is aging as Audrey Hepburn did: with acceptance and grace. Behind the scenes, though, she probably has to go through the beauty routine(s) in your first pic to arrive at that great shot of her. Does that mean there's hope for us? lol

Good luck on your resolutions and a very Happy 2013 to you!

Wonderful, wonderful! I would tell you how clever you are but I don't want you to get a swelled head ... oh, I guess I DID just tell you. Oh well.

I did not make any resolutions -- I've been rolling over the same resolutions for about 20 years now. Someday it will take! Someday my prince will come too ... NOT to both!

Forgot to mention -- I LOVE that gorgeous picture of Olivier as Henry V! I have one of Kenneth Branagh as Henry V on my sidebar -- another beautiful one. I'm a rabid Shakespeare lover!

A great post to kick off the new year as well as attack your resolutions (which seem to me to have universal appeal - especially "Watch more movies!"). Wishing you a spectacular 2013!

FlickChick,
Like everyone else, I found your resolution post hilarious.

The captions were perfect but I feel you're perfect as you are. : )

Happy 2013 and please keep the very clever and humorous posts coming. Just don't take the dieting thing to the extreme. I don't want to come over here and find you slumped over the keyboard with the X button going nuts. Some might find that creative but it's just a bit annoying. ha ha

A great post to bring in the new year Page. More movies and more writing reading for sure, and let's hope those other things just happen.

Marvelous resolutions! The key is to find the balance in all of them. And, of course, watching more movies is the easiest and the one that gives us more pleasure!
Kisses!
